SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to begin nonstop services between Sharjah and Gdansk starting on Dec. 14, 2026. This newly introduced route will connect Sharjah International Airport with Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport with five flights scheduled each week. The flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. This addition enhances the airline’s direct connections within the UAE to northern Poland and broadens its network within the country. On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs from Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arrives in Gdansk at 8 p.m. The return journey, G9 0629, departs Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and reaches Sharjah by 6:10 a.m. the next morning. The schedule for Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays has flights leaving Sharjah at 8:15 a.m., with return flights from Gdansk at 1:05 p.m., arriving in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m. All scheduled times are local to each airport.
Once operational in December, Gdansk will become Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah. The airline currently services Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport from its hub in Sharjah. Additionally, Air Arabia will introduce four weekly flights to Katowice starting on Dec. 17, 2026. These flights will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The new services to Gdansk and Katowice will expand Air Arabia’s direct route network within Poland beyond its existing two city connections.
Gdansk Joins Air Arabia’s Growing Polish Route Portfolio
The Gdansk route is part of Air Arabia’s broader European network from Sharjah. The airline’s listed destinations include Milan Bergamo, Munich, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick, and Rome. Frankfurt and Katowice are also planned to be added to this network. The Gdansk service provides a new gateway on Poland’s Baltic coast and offers travelers in the Pomeranian region direct scheduled flights connecting them to the UAE via Sharjah.
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, emphasized the airline’s strategy of expanding its Polish network with the addition of Gdansk. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, highlighted the significance of the direct Sharjah link for the Pomeranian area. The airport has identified Sharjah as a transfer hub for destinations such as India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Gdansk Airport serves the broader Tri-City metropolitan area, which includes Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, along with other communities in northern Poland.
Sharjah-Gdansk Route Will Operate Five Times Per Week
Air Arabia’s fleet comprising Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft will operate this new route. Booking options are available via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agencies. The schedule assigns G9 0628 and G9 0629 to flights on Mondays and Saturdays. For Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, flights will operate as G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. These five weekly rotations will provide nonstop flights both ways between the two airports.
The launch of the Gdansk service on December 14 will occur just three days before Air Arabia’s planned debut in Katowice. With existing routes to Krakow and Warsaw from Sharjah, these December additions will bring the airline’s Polish network to four cities. The Gdansk route will offer passengers five nonstop flights each week in both directions based on the current timetable.
