SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to introduce nonstop flights connecting Sharjah International Airport and Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. Operating four times weekly, this new route broadens the airline’s connectivity between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia offers flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, which serves Jordan’s capital. The addition of this service provides passengers with an alternative airport in Amman within the airline’s Sharjah network and enhances its scheduled routes to Jordan.

Flights will be scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flight G9 169 departs Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return flight, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and reaches Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Booking options for the new route are available through Air Arabia’s website, call center, and partner travel agencies.
This new addition strengthens Air Arabia Group’s existing Jordan operations, which include flights from Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. The group also operates flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. With this new service from Sharjah, the group extends its network to provide another departure point in the UAE for flights to Amman City Airport, complementing its current Jordan routes.
Air Arabia broadens access to two airports in Amman
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, emphasized that the new route offers travelers a second airport option in the Jordanian capital, enhancing convenience and flexibility for those traveling between the UAE and Jordan. The airline announced the new Sharjah route on October 8, more than a month ahead of its scheduled start in November. This route will operate alongside Air Arabia’s existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport.
Earlier in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched its own service to Amman City Airport, beginning on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. This route, like the Sharjah service, also connects to Queen Alia International Airport, giving travelers from the UAE capital two options for reaching Amman. In April, Air Arabia reported that these two Abu Dhabi routes together provided 10 weekly flights to Amman upon the launch of the second airport service.
Sharjah route introduces four weekly flights to Jordan’s capital
Flights on the new Sharjah route, numbered G9 169 and G9 170, will follow a consistent four-day weekly schedule. The airline’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, which operate across its broader network. Passengers can take advantage of services like SkyTime streaming, SkyCafe onboard dining, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Ticket bookings for the Amman City Airport flights will be available through Air Arabia’s established sales channels prior to the November 15 launch.
This expansion enhances Air Arabia Group’s network of Jordan connections via Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Alexandria. From Sharjah, passengers can directly access both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport through Air Arabia. The Abu Dhabi operation also serves both airports, and Alexandria remains linked directly to Amman City Airport. The upcoming November launch will add four scheduled weekly flights between Sharjah and Jordan’s capital, further strengthening the group’s regional presence.
